I simply do some basic activities like run for 20 to 30 minutes in morning, bike for about 40 minutes outdoors, and some weight educate. As such my fitness tracking requirements are reasonably basic. Polar M2 00 fits my requirements well. Connects to PC easily. Syncs easily with the Polar Flow app. With Polar flow, I can scheme, track, and add relevant activities to my M200. Also it applies standard USB port and ideally no cable is required. Nonetheless Polar has bundled a USB extension cable.It sysnc with my Andriod phone without any fuss.
Heart rate seems to be accurate in my opinion. Tracks sleep in addition to activities. Accusations fairly quickly. Batteries do seem to last about a week based on my utilization. Device is fairly simple to use. Display is white character on a black background. Shows time, and date. Display can be seen in bright daylight. All in all I am happy with Polar M2 00. This device has been represented as a running watch and first swim proof GPS watch. If you watch the video from Garmin or find any of the advertisings, Garmin leads you to believe that this watch will accumulate reliable data for all 3 multisport events. It is a great running watch. The GPS seems reasonably accurate, over reporting a bit, but less so than what I was get when using an app on my phone. The watch report 26.77 total miles for the marathon. Heart rate function seem very accurate comparable to my previous polar chest. I like having a log and graph to look at subsequentlies for the HR metrics, something I never had before. The post-run analysis with the Garmin tools is great and best cheap gps watch for running.
I did misconfigure the watch for my marathon and that got annoying. I had experimented with tempo alarms. This caused the watch to beep at me a lot over the last 6 miles of the race when tempo fell. I won’t be using that unless I am specifically tempo educate.

The Spark is astonishingly small-scale, it is much smaller than many competitor and previous modelings, especially in the depth, and specially considering that this has a built-in optical Heart rate monitor. Reason that they moved away from the partnership with Mio Heart rate for this sensor is because of exactly this issue and they wanted the watch to have a lower profile and could not achieve it with the Mio sensor. So far it has paid off.
The biggest gripe that I have is that when in the specific activities there is no to change the music tracks applying to this best cheap gps watch for running. You can change the playlist that you are listening to, but you cant skip forward or backward on track list. In the future this could be easily remedied. Otherwise you just have to use your headphones/ speaker to skip tracks.
